The Saving Journey

I’m back! I can’t believe I haven’t posted anything here since the February update but it has been a super busy 6 months! I sold my flat, completed the ASICS Windermere Marathon, got engaged, worked two jobs, organised an engagement dinner, had a hen party, went on holiday, got married on the beach, attended two friends’ weddings, went camping and threw a wedding party…..phew!

I’m planning to write more about all these events over the next few weeks but for now I’m pleased to say they haven’t hurt my net worth. Back in February my net worth was a hair under the quarter million mark at £249k and in the last 6 months I’ve managed to increase it to £266k, a very satisfactory 6.8% increase. The sale of my flat has reduced my assets but it also reduced my liabilities as the mortgage was cleared and I’ve held on to the rest as cash although I have plans for that in the near future – more on that at a later date.
